A Fish Tale of Two Charities - For the past 6 years, Fishing 4 Children’s Charities has been hosting an Annual Pike Derby with proceeds going to other local charities. Throughout their great run, Fishing 4 Children’s Charities has raised close to $70,000.00 for such charities as: Starlight Foundations, Camp Quality, and for the past three years to Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer - NOFCC.
This year is no exception, however, instead of choosing a charity for which to raise money, the Fishing 4 Children’s Charities Committee Members decided to team up with Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer – NOFCC.
Through the guidance of past Fishing 4 Children’s Charities members Micheline Lavallee and Louise Gosselin, the NOFCC and its newly formed committee are looking forward to the challenges of continuing with the success of prior Pike Derbies.
